My
name is Amber McAlpine and I live in Moe, Victoria, with my husband George
and our two children Jacob (almost 7 years) and Hailey (4 years). I started
scrapbooking when Jacob was a baby but only really got hooked when i discovered
scrapbooking on the internet about 3 years ago.
I am a qualified childcare worker and Kinder teacher, but after several
years in the industry, it was time for a career change, so in January
2005 I open the doors to Scrap to the Max which is my dream job and I
love it.
I don't think i really have a particular scrapping style. I like to take
inspiration from my photos and my children and bring in a bit of their
personality onto my layouts, so my style changes with each photo I scrap.
My favourite colours to scrap with would have to be pinks, browns and
navy. Ribbons, brads and chipboard feature quite frequently on my layouts
too.
I have been published in Scrapbooking Memories, My Reflections, various
Express Publications idea books and Scrapbook Creations magazines.
Nicole
Finlayson
My
name is Nicole Finlayson and I live in West Gippsland Victoria with my
husband Nathan and my children Alexander who is six and Madeleine who
is three. I first discovered scrapbooking in 2000 and haven't looked back
since.
My background is in Graphic Design and Calligraphy and I've always dabbled
in something crafty. I love scrapbooking because it allows me to take
a little bit of everything and use it on my layouts.
I work at and teach classes at the Scrap to The Max store and I love every
minute of it. It never seems like work to me.
I don't really favour a particular style but I like to use a lot of stitching
and embroidery on my layouts along with different patterned papers. I
don't really have colour preferences either, the photo tends to dictate
my colour choices. I love to incorporate ribbons and fabric and anything
else that entices the viewer to touch it, I guess I would say I am a tactile
scrapper. I also love vintage haberdashery items like pins, old hairclips,
buttons and any other little items I may find along the way.
I have been published in Scrapbook Creations, For Keeps and Scrapbooking
Memories magazines.
My favourite products at the moment would be embroidery cotton, chipboard,
ribbon, patterned paper and just about anything Heidi Swapp.

I first discovered scrapping almost 3 years ago and haven't looked back.
After being a "Career girl" for so many years, it's fantastic
to have something "outside" of just being a SAHM, that I love
and enjoy with so much passion.

and our 3 GREAT kids Lauren 14.5 and twins Alastair & Felicity 5.5.
I have been scrapbooking for 3 years and am a self confessed scrap-a-holic.
If I am not scrapbooking then I am taking photos (my next obsession) with
my Canon 350D. My kids are pretty co-operative most of the time when I
“need” photos.
I am looking forward to “working” with the awesome girls on
the Scrap to the Max team.

have lived in the Latrobe Valley, Vic for the last 6 years. I have been
married to Barry for the last 7 years and we have two children, Meagan
who is nearly four and Callan who is 20 months old. I probably discovered
scrap booking over four years ago but did not start scrapping till about
3 years ago. My main subjects are the kids and my style tends to be neat
and square but I am also really enjoying trying new ways and moving away
from my comfort zone. I am also a registered nurse working two part-time
jobs.
